Proud

So proud to be an American right now...to be a part of this historic night, what a rush. I love being part of the process. I hope that we can move towards cooperation and healing instead of divisiveness and fear.

Rock the vote.

Hello? Is anyone still reading this?

Hi! Sorry I have been MIA for so long! Work this summer was especially busy and I took several vacations.

I went to Jackson Hole, WY:

The Watersmeet, Michigan (in the UP):

And I did a little knitting...you can see most of my projects on my flickr photostream or on Ravelry.

My latest thing has been scarves. That I try to knit from the stash. But I bought yarn yesterday at Fiddlehead Yarns to make this scarf:

My So Called Scarf

This is the My So Called Scarf and I knit it up in about 5-6 hours. One skein, baby! You can see my specs on Ravelry. I did add a button hole so I can make this snug for the winter. I may need to buy more of this yarn to make some for gifts! Awesome!

My friend Elizabeth recently posted a knitting "Bucket List" using yarn in her stash...so here it goes for the yarn in my stash (and check out the cute hat she made that I designed!):
  1. Snowflake in Cedarwoods (square) shawl
  2. EPS fair isle yoke cardigan
  3. Hidcote Garden shawl
  4. Jaali Sweater
  5. colorwork mittens of my design--still thinking about this one and since I have so much sock yarn, I have a ton of variety to choose from
  6. knee high socks
  7. February Lady Sweater
  8. Tomten-child size
And I still have yarn left over! I am pretty sure that I can add to this list...I just got the new Mason Dixon book and there are some great patterns!

Thanks for reading and I promise that I will not wait 5 months to blog again! I have some great autumn foliage shots that I want to share.
